The North West Clinical Senate are Recruiting Expert Patient Representatives
We have an exciting opportunity if you are passionate about improving health and care services and the experience of health and care for people living in the North West of England. We are the North West Clinical Senate and provide strategic independent advice on North West health and care issues. We support commissioners to make decisions that transform the quality, experience and integration of patient care and ensure that services are sustainable, effective, and efficient.
This small multi-professional expert group has a membership of up to 35 people, the majority being clinicians in roles with regular patient contact. The Council provides overall leadership and direction to support management of the Senate’s business. It maintains strategic clinical oversight across the NW region and is primarily responsible for the formulation and provision of independent expert advice, drawing on the views and opinions of the wider Assembly when required.
What skills, experience or qualities are required?
- Recognise and respect equality, diversity and inclusion
- Excellent listening and verbal communication skills
- Ability to display sound judgement and to be objective
- Experience of ensuring patient and public views are considered in public sector discussions and decision-making (e.g. health, social care, house)
