Appointment of Dr Martin Vernon to role of NW Clinical Senate Chair.
We are pleased to announce that Dr Martin Vernon has been appointed to the role of North West Clinical Senate Chair.
Amongst other achievements, Martin is a Consultant Geriatrician and Clinical Director for Integration at Tameside and Glossop Integrated Care NHS Foundation Trust. Between 2016 and 2019 he was the National Clinical Director for Older People, during which time he led on the development of new policy areas for adults with complex needs as part of the 2019 NHS Long Term Plan. Martin has a proven track record of delivering sustainable service improvement through successful management of large multi-disciplinary and multi-sector meetings and working within complex and evolving governance structures where there are uncertainties and professional tensions. We are confident that he will be a great asset, both to the NW Clinical Senate and the colleagues we work with across the region.
